It turned on almost overhead, orange and gold in color, traveling slowly toward us from a westerly direction, then disappearing into thin air nearly over us into the other dimensions. "Joe Kraus, managing editor of the Prescott Courier, described in the issue of Aug. 9 a saucer sighting predicted and "called down" by Solem. ".... It rose in the sky, stopped, hovered, wavered to one side and then continued across the sky repeating the manoeuvres," Kraus wrote. ... On Aug. 10, the Courier published a list of saucer reports by many people ... . Titus Lamson of Hotevilla, described how he saw one of the saucers last summer. "THAT EVENING, there was a rainbow color coming just above the village moving west," Lamson said. There was a dome on top of the ship, "then a round thing on top and |

Mr. Solem took us to Moreland Park, where we waited for the Great Star of the Hopi (an "unidentified flying object") to make a pass overhead in the night sky. At approximately 10:45 p.m., we spotted an object overhead. As this extraterrestrial vehicle approached in a low-flying pass coming from the southwest, it accelerated, getting brighter and brighter ‘til it lit up with a fantastic brightness. In other words, in became huge, as it started to fade out, it turned and headed directly north." |
May 13, 2010 – statement by Roger Crummitt (author of the ISJ Aug 5, 2007, Letter to the Editor) : "This last week on the 13 of May in ... Moreland Park ... . ... Paul Solem ... was noted for his ability to transfer thought ... and telepathic contacts with those of the same spiritual level. Mr. Solem then offered a word of prayer (making a telepathic call) for the flying saucer to make a low pass overhead ... . As the ship made a pass overhead at about 500 feet, very pronounced as it was glowing so brightly we could hardly fasten our eyes upon it."

Paul R. Solem was born on January 28th.
The name /SOLEM/ is similar to /SULLAM/ (Strong’s 5551), the term translated ‘ladder’ (or, ‘staircase’) in B-Re>s^it 28:12 (describing the dream by Ya<qob) at the mechanism for ascension to heaven (flying-saucer transportation being a variant modern aequivalent).
His conversation (in 1952) with the inhabitants of a flying saucer at "Lost River Sinks" (where the river sinketh through the sands into the underground) is reminiscent of Siberian shamans’ accounts of their passing (in a dream) into the netherworld via a river sinking (falling as a waterfall) into the underground.
